Razor-thin – very thin. He won the election by the razor-thin margin of 6 votes.

Sharp-tongued – harsh or abrasive in speech.? She lost her job because she was too sharp-tongued with her colleagues.
[出言不逊]——她丢了工作,因为她对同事出言不逊。

Razor-sharp – very sharp.? After he sharpened the kitchen meat knife, it was razor-sharp.

On pins and needles – nervous, usually hoping for good news. She was hoping to get an ‘A’ and was on pins and needles waiting for the results.
