Expressions with the verb ‘to have’
本周的成语跟“拥有”有关

1. to have it in for someone – to be biased against or hostile towards someone. The boss doesn’t like that guy and is trying to force him out. He really has it in for him.
[厌恶]——老板不喜欢这家伙，总想把他挤出去。老板真是很厌恶他。

2. to have it up to here (usually indicating the neck with your hand) – to be fed up with, annoyed with. She is late for work every second day (every other day). I’ve had it up to here with her.
[厌烦了，受够了]——她每隔两天就迟到。我真是有点受够了。

3. to have it out with someone – to have an angry (usually) confrontation or disagreement. They have many differences of opinion but seldom argue.? Yesterday though, they had it out with each other.
[以某人吵架]——他们有很多不同意见却很少争论。昨天他们大吵了一架。

4. to have had it – to be no longer useful. Winter is coming and I need a new coat. My old coat has had it.
[不能再坚持了，忍无可忍了，受够了]——冬天来了，我需要一件新大衣。我的旧大衣已经不能再坚持了。

5. to have it coming – to expect unpleasant consequences. That guy was always late for work, even after many warnings. Yesterday, he got fired. I guess he had it coming.
[料到了，预感到要来临]——那家伙不顾几次警告，总是上班迟到。昨天他被解雇了。我向他肯定料到了。
